Alexander Technique has worked for me in the sense that I now feel much lighter in my body. The self-organisation and potential for movement in my body has increased during the last year of regularly practicing Alexander Technique.
My body is carrying itself more and I don't have to use as much muscular power to mobilise it like I used to do.
Through the active thought of lengthening and widening in all directions I have gained space in my body. A space for the body to re-solve tensions and organise itself in a less held and cramped way. This has resulted in a more deep and stable breathing.
Gonnie provides an individual and non-problematic approach to the process of changing bodily and mental patterns. This is a relief considering that such a process might as well be perceived as demanding or complex.
The awareness of my existing movement patterns is the first step to change and Alexander Technique is providing me with the tools for that process.
My body has become lighter to manoeuvre in both simple and complex movement patterns, while at the same time I am more connected to the ground.
